US$455,000 from non-governmental aid donated to Ha Tinh and Quang Binh

(Labor) - According to information from the People's Aid Co-ordinating Committee (PACCOM) under the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO), by the end of August, 8 international organisations, embassy and non-governmental organisations have pledged aid for two provinces of Ha Tinh and Quang Binh, with the total value of around US$455.000 to repair the aftermath of Storm No.2.

In addition, some non-governmental organisations are planning to resume production, rebuild houses and clean environmental sanitation in these two localities.

Ho Chi Minh Fatherland Front Committee: collect over VND 9 billion to help flood victims

Up to August 30, after 20 days of organizing campaign, the Ho Chi Minh Fatherland Front Committee received more than VND 9 billion and other relief aids to help flood victims in the Central region and Highland. This is a great contribution from 421 units and individuals. The Ho Chi Minh Fatherland Front Committee gave VND 3.7 billion to six provinces. Of which, Quang Binh and Ha Tinh were given VND 1 billion for each; Dac Lac VND 750 million; Lam Dong VND 700 million and Kon Tum VND 150 million, etc.
