In the first quarter, export turnover achieved US$8 million
The total export turnover in the first quarter of 2008 achieved nearly US$8 million, equal to 75% compared with the same period, in which state economy achieved US$1 million, equal to 72% and private economy achieved nearly US$7 million, equal to 76% against the same period.
The main products for export in the first quarter included rubber and wood; of which rubber achieved the export turnover of US$6.5 million, making up the density of 85%, wooden product achieved US$800 thousand, the remaining was industrial - handicraft products and aquatic products.
Regarding import activity, the turnover increased highly with the total value of US$7 million, increased by 65% compared with the same period. Imported products were mainly "round" wood, sawn timber and aluminium.
