Quang Binh hosts a national meeting on World Environment Day
The meeting is the biggest event of its kind in the country and nearly 3,000 people are expected to attend. It will provide an excellent opportunity for the province to present its unique environment and beautiful landscapes. This will improve local people’s awareness of bio-diversity preservation and help to gain recognition from UNESCO for Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park as a world natural heritage in bio-diversity.
The meeting coincides with Vietnam’s Sea and Islands Week which will take place in Dong Hoi City from June 4-6 with a maritime economic and trade fair, tours of craft villages and seafood businesses, a fishing festival, a send sculptures contest, a kite display, a photography competition on Quang Binh’s beaches, and an exhibition on the country’s seas and islands.
