Quang Binh holds burial service for 53 sets of martyrs' remains repatriated from Laos
Attending the burial service was deputy governor of Khammouane Province; leaders of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs; the Ministry of National Defense, and the Military Zone No.4. On the side of Quang Binh province, there were Mr Nguyen Huu Hoai, deputy secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, chairman of the Provincial People's Committee (PPC); Mr Nguyen Dang, vice-chairman of PPC; members of the provincial Standing Committees; representatives of agencies and localities concerned and relatives of martyrs.

It was known that these 53 sets of remains were found by a search team No.589 from Quang Binh provincial Military Command with the support of authorities and people of Quang Binh and Khammouane provinces during six months (October 18, 2010 - May 2, 2011). Of the remains, only two were identified by name and native place, and reburied at cemeteries in their homeland.
Speaking at the burial service, Vice-chairman of PPC Nguyen Dang warmly praised great efforts made by a search team No.589 and expressed his thank to the authority and people of Khammouance province that have create favorable conditions for Quang Binh province to search, gather and repatriate remains of Vietnamese volunteers and experts who laid down their lives in Laos. The comrade also stressed that the searching and gathering of martyrs' remains had a great significance, expressing the tradition of our nation, "when drinking water, remember its sources" and contributing to relieve the losses of martyrs' relatives.
At the service, delegates respectfully laid a flower wreath and burnt incenses in memory of martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the fatherland.
