In February alone, there were four projects licensed investment in the industrial parks and economic zones with a total registered investment of VND29.2 billion, including Hoang Anh seafood processing project with an investment of VND9.4 billion at the Hon La Economic Zone; Cha Lo International Border Gate duty-free shop with an investment of VND5 billion of the Cha Lo International Friendship Trading Company Limited at the Cha Lo Border Gate Economic Zone; a duty-free shop with an investment of 05 billion of the Lao Cai provincial Import-Export Joint-stock Company at the Cha Lo Border Gate Economic Zone and the transit shed with an investment of VND9.8 billion of Le Dung Linh Trading Company Limited at the Cha Lo Economic Zone.

In addition, four projects are also implementing investment registration with a total investment of VND2,427 billion, including Hon La DKC oil and gas warehouse of the DKC Investment Joint-stock Company at Hon La Seaport Industrial Park with a total investment of VND247 billion; Dong Hung sea ecological site of the Dong Hung Joint-stock Company at Hon La Economic Zone with a total investment of VND299 billion; sea ecological site project - Green Palm, Resort of the Kim Tu Thap Trade and Service Joint-stock Company at Hon La Economic Zone with a total investment of VND393 billion and the port construction project of the Truong Thinh Joint-stock Company at Hon La Economic Zone with a total investment of VND1,488 billion.

Considering investment promotion as a leading task, in the forthcoming time, the Management Board of Economic Zones will focus on renovating investment promotion activity, strengthening popularization to lure investment, especially the large-sized projects and capable foreign investors, contributing to solving jobs for many local laborers.

Besides, the unit will also create favorable conditions to improve legal procedures, aiming to quickly start construction of four projects which are implementing investment registration in the province.
