Zhishan Foundation has supported 792 pupils and students having difficult circumstances in the province to continue going to school
(Quang Binh Portal) - On June 3, 2020, the Provincial People"s Committee issued Decision No.1808/QD-UBND on approving and receiving foreign non-governmental aid for the project of supporting disadvantaged children in Quang Binh Province in 2020 sponsored by Zhishan Foundation (Taiwan).
Accordingly, the Zhishan Foundation has sponsored over VND 2,307 million to implement the project of supporting disadvantaged children in Quang Binh province in 2020 with the purpose of supporting 792 disadvantaged students in the province to continue going to school and complete all educational levels, improve the quality of learning, help them be able to be independent and contribute to society; free orthopedic surgery for 20 disadvantaged children with mobility, urology, genital, digestive problems... to treat disabilities on the body, restore defective functions, help children soon integrate into the community. Besides, the project has also supported new books for 03 libraries in Le Thuy and Bo Trach districts; fostered students to develop confidence and basic learning skills (concentration skills, observation skills, interpretation skills, descriptive and creative skills)...
The Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to chair and coordinate with relevant units and localities to implement the reception and use of aid capital in the province effectively in accordance with the State regulations on management and use foreign non-governmental aid and other relevant regulations.
