Provincial People's Committee ratifies Project of building Thuong My Trung irrigational works
It is known that this project is financed by the source of loan capital of Asia Development Bank (ADB) and counterpart fund of the Government with total invested capital of VND264 billion, of which counterpart fund is VND60 billion.
This project will be carried out to newly build 15 pumping stations and 22 waste drainages; improve and upgrade 25 pumping stations, 72 old drainages and over 80km of dike. It is expected to be completed and put them into use in 2011.
When this project is operational, it will contribute to preventing salt water from overflowing into the rice fields, ensure the water supply for 41 thousand hectares of rice of communes in two districts of Le Thuy and Quang Ninh.
This project also contributes to improving environment and ecological system for 800 hectare of Hac Hai lagoon.
