(Quang Binh Website) - In the afternoon of Feb 16 2009, the delegation of the Central Youth Union and the Vietnam Youth Union, led by the First Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Vo Van Thuong paid a visit and granted gifts to three families who have the most difficult circumstance in the ferry accident on January 25 (the last day of the year) in Quang Hai commune.

After visiting the victims' families, First Secretary Vo Van Thuong directed the Quang Binh Youth Union and Quang Trach District Youth Union to implement the programme "Giving strength for going to school" to help children of the victims' families.

On this occasion, the First Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Vo Van Thuong awarded Certificate of merit of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union to Mai Van Luyen and Hoang Ut; granted the Brave Youth insignia to Mai Thanh Phong, Tran Quoc Hoan and Tran Quang Thang. The Vietnam Youth Union also awarded Certificate of merit and Cup to above-mentioned five individuals in rescuing 35 people of the ferry accident on January 25.
