Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council Luong Ngoc Binh speaks at the session

The session was co-chaired by Mr. Luong Ngoc Binh, Member of the Central Party Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council, and members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People’s Council.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council Luong Ngoc Binh stressed that the 12th session is a mid-year session of the provincial People's Council with a focus on evaluating implementation of the province's socio-economic development tasks, national defense and security in the first half of 2014; discussing and deciding a wide range of major issues of the province.

Chairman Luong Ngoc Binh said that the deputies need to raise their role and responsibility, uphold the democracy, contribute the qualified ideas and take practical measures in accordance with the province’s socio-economic situation, contributing to successfully implementing the province's socio-economic development plan.

In the first working day, deputies will hear 11 reports and 4 statements with a focus on evaluating the implementation of socio-economic development tasks, national defense and security and law execution in the first six months of 2014; operation results of the provincial People’s Council, People’s Court and People’s Procuracy; ideas and petitions of the people and investigation reports made by the Departments of the Provincial People’s Council...
