Attending the programme was Mr. Hoang Dang Quang, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, President of Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics; members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee; representatives of the Labour Newspaper, related departments and branches together with the General's family and local people.

An art performance at the programme

The art programme was broadcast live on Quang Binh Television, Vietnamese Defence Television Channel (QPVN) and 30 local TV station across the country.

With the participation of many famous signers and artists such as Trong Tan, Tan Nhan and Quang Binh's Traditional Art Troupe, the programme was performed in praise of glorious victories of the General in the heart of the people as well as the spirit of comrades during the hardship war.

Besides, the programme also screened two documentary films on the life, career and glorious victories of the General Vo Nguyen Giap, good sentiments of the people across the country and Quang Binh people to the General.

Speaking at the programme, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed this is a meaningful art programme, aiming to express deep sentiments, hearts and gratitudes of millions of Vietnamese people in general, soldiers and people of Quang Binh province in particular to the General.

"Live forever with a legend" is an art programme in tribute of General Vo Nguyen Giap, which was first held in Quang Binh province. The success of the programme contributed to disseminate a message: Quang Binh tourism is a safe, friendly and attractive destination to all people and tourists, please come to Quang Binh to have more deep feelings of an eminent person in the motherland of Quang Binh.

The Organising Board presented portrait photos and publiccations to the General's family, leaders of Quang Binh province and war veterans.

In the framework of the programme, the organising board also presented 5,000 portrait photos on General Vo Nguyen Giap and 5,000 publications on General published by the Labour Newspaper to the General’s family, leaders of Quang Binh province and war veterans.
