Pilot tour to Hamad valley - Tra Ang cave opens for tourists from August
The provincial People's Committee assigned the Management Board of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park to supervise and check the pilot tour to set up the official project which will submit to the Provincial People's Committee for approval.
The opening of this ecotourism route aims to diversify the forms of tourism and tourism products, contributing to meeting the diversified demands of exploring the heritage's unique values in the Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park.
Reportedly, the Hamad valley (acrossing Km27 of Ho Chi Minh road, western branch) has the beautiful natural landscapes and an abundant vegetational cover with high biological diversity.
The Tra Ang cave (at Km17 of 20 Quyet Thang Road) was discovered in 2014 by the British Cave Research Association with the length of 650m in depth. This is a cave with green and cool underground river systems, contains pristine stalactites with various shapes and colours. The cave collects water from the caves of Va, Son Doong and En to pour into Tra Ang stream with a total length of over 4km.
