Number of tourists to Quang Binh in the first six months increased 17% against the same period
(Quang Binh Portal) – According to information from the Department of Tourism, in order to overcome the impacts caused by the sea environmental incidents, contributing to affirming the branch and image of Quang Binh tourism on the world map, in the past time, the tourism sector has speeded up tourism popularization and promotion activities, focused on investment in terms of scale, content, depth and specialization for each market, bringing many practical effectivenesses.
In addition, the units and localities have also developed many products and types of tourism and constantly improved the quality of tourism services and human resources, making a great contribution to tourist attractions.
In the first six months of 2017, total number of tourists to Quang Binh was estimated to reach 1.5 million tourists, a 17% increase against the same period last year, including 27,000 foreign tourists, up 20%.
Total turnover of tourism was estimated to reach VND221 billion, rose by 23%; VNV71 billion was collected in the budget, grew by 0.9%; the coefficiency of accommodation was estimated at 1.1 days per guest; rate of room occupancy was estimated to reach 47.4%.
In the second six months of 2017, the tourism sector strives to welcome 1.5 million tourists, including 40,000 foreigners; tourism turnovers is estimated to reach VND1,5000 billion.
