Foresters of Le Thuy district patrol Dong Chau - Nuoc Trong nature reserve

Accordingly, the planning of natural conservation areas included the Nui Giang Man nature reserve with a total area of 10,000/20,000 hectares; Khe Net nature resrve with 26,800 hectares; Dong Chau - Nuoc Trong nature reserve with 19,000 hectares; and Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park with 126,326 hectares.

The planning of landscape protection areas included Than Dinh mountain area (Non pagoda) with 136 hectares and Vung Chua - Yen Island area with approximately 8,000 hectares.

Besides, the planning also protected and develop natural ecosystem of Bau Sen area in Sen Thuy commune, Ngu Thuy Nam (Le Thuy district) with an area of about 200 hectares, etc.

The planning of biodiversity nature reserves of Quang Binh province aims to preserve and devleop sustainable biodiversity resources; promote the suitable use of biodiversity values; maintain and devleop ecosystem service, environment, landscapes; contributing to poverty alleviation, biodiversity conservation in response to mitigate the impacts of climate changes, etc.
