Quang Binh estimates damages after storm Doksuri

Some 243 houses were completely collapsed, 95,433 houses were partially destroyed as the roofs were blown off by the strong winds. As many as 527 schools have also been affected with 495 damaged classrooms.
The typhoon also damaged 60 medical stations and 06 antenna masts.
Some 1,978 hectares of vegetables; 3,207 ha of annual crops; 2,069 hectares of perennial trees and 6,610 hectares of rubber trees were destroyed. Some 500 cattle and 65,000 poultry were killed. Some 229,5 hectares of aquatic farms were damaged.
Twenty third kilometer of roads were eroded and twelve bridges and drains were destroyed worth VND61 billion.
In order overcome consequences caused by the 10th storm, efforts will be continued to deal with the consequences of the storm. Authorities at all levels timely directed localities to check households which faced the great loss to offer assistance; repair damages and encourage people to overcome difficulties; mobilised nearly 2,500 cadres, soldiers and youth to help storm victims.
By now, 100% of schools have been back schools, 80% of areas in the province have had electricity restored after the storm.
Quang Binh authority submitted its proposal of support of 5,000 tons of rice and VND30 billion to buy rice seedlings and veggies and VND750 billion to repair drainage, schools and medical clinic construction works.
