Tourists to Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park up 27.5% during New Year holiday

 (Quang Binh Portal) - Up to 3,812 visitors arrived in Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park during the New Year holiday 2018 from December 30 - January 1, up 27.5% from the same period last year, according to the Management Board of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park.
Of them, 756 were foreigners, increasing 22.3%; 3,056 were domestic visitors, increasing 28.9% year-on-year.

The total revenue from tourism reached over VND 1 billion, rose by 15.4% against the same period last year. Of which, Phong Nha - Ke Bang Tourism Center welcomed 2,281 visitors, grew by 34.1%; botanical garden welcomed 205 visitors, up 91.5%; other destinations under the park's management received 135 tourist arrivals, went up to 17.3%.

Meanwhile, Thien Duong Cave ecotourism site welcomed 1,191 arrivals, up 11.7%, etc.

In order to serve tourists during the New Year holiday 2018, the Management Board of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park has directed its directly-managed units to plan tourist reception and environmental sanitation at tourist sites.

In addition, the Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park and the Center for Rescue, Conservation and Creature Development have mobilised all resources to meet the demands of tourists, ensuring safety of people and assets for tourists while visting at the destinations.

Especially, it has organised a solemn ceremony to welcome the first tourist to the Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park in 2018, making a good impression on visitors when coming to Quang Binh.
