Deputy Prime Minister and the Central mission worked with the leaders of Quang Binh province

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Chairman of the PPC reported the provincial socio-economic situation in 2019. Accordingly, Quang Binh deploys 2019 tasks in the context of facing various difficulties and challenges, however, with the solidarity, high unity, the drastical leadership and direction of the provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, the involvement of business community and people of all classes in synchronous implementation of solutions, the provincial socio-economic situation has achieved positive and comprehensive results in all fields. Specifically, there are 19/21 basic targets achieved and exceeded the plan; economic growth reached 7.23% (exceeding the plan); budget revenue exceeded the plan and increased sharply over the same period; aquatic product production increased significantly; tourism activities had many positive changes; administrative reform changed drastically; social security was focused, people's lives was improved; political security and social safety situation were stable; social evils were prevented and handled effectively, creating confidence among the People; national defense - security has been strengthened and maintained. The off-budget investment continued to be effective, the PPC approved the investment policy of 60 projects with a total investment of over VND 2,950 billion. The province also focused drastically and synchronously on solutions to implement the National Target Programs on New Rural Development, resulting in 2019, the whole province has 10 more communes meeting new rural standards( reached the plan), bringing the number of communes reaching new rural to 72 communes, accounting for 52.9% of the total number of communes.

Regarding the key tasks in the coming time, the province determined to promote restructuring the economy associated with changing the growth model, improving productivity, quality, efficiency and competitiveness, especially in the fields of provincial strengths; complete the adjustment of the planning of Quang Binh province to 2030, vision to 2050 and submit to the Prime Minister for approval; good management of budget revenues and expenditures, public debt, public assets; steer drastically to accelerate the implementation and disbursement of public investment, improve the efficiency of capital use; continue to promote tourism development to truly become a spearhead economic sector. Along with that, the province will continue to strongly improve the business investment environment, enhance provincial competitiveness; focus on quality and efficiency of investment promotion, towards reputable and qualified investors to invest in the province; encourage infrastructure investment in the form of socialization...

At the meeting, Chairman of the PPC also proposed to the Deputy Prime Minister to allow the province to call for socialization resources to invest in constructing Nhat Le Bridge 3; direct allocation additional estimation of 10% provision of local budget balance sources for the 2016 - 2020 period so that the province will have more resources to implement urgent tasks; supplement the central budget capital to support the province in 2020 to complete the forward projects expected to be completed in 2020, contributing to promoting the efficiency of projects and the invested capital; consider and support the contingency capital source, surpassing the State budget revenues managed by the Central Government for the President Ho Chi Minh Monument Project with Quang Binh’s people and the central square infrastructure as concluded by the Prime Minister...

Addressing at the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister highly appreciated the comprehensive results of the province in 2019 and emphasized that with the depth of culture, history and advantages of nature, Quang Binh can fully develop stronger in the coming time. In order to continue the socio-economic development in a fast and sustainable direction, he noted that the province should closely follow the resolutions of the National Assembly, the Government and localities in implementing economic development task; focus on improving the people's life spiritually and materially, especially on the occasions of holidays and Tet; clearly identify and direct reasonable investment in the areas with local strengths; attach importance to develop hi-tech agriculture; care about environmental protection; accelerate administrative reform, increase provincial competitiveness index; focus on solutions to increase the proportion of industry and services, reduce the proportion of agriculture ... Regarding several recommendations and proposals of the province, the Deputy Prime Minister also basically agreed and will consider, steer and pay attention to the concerned ministries and branches to give specific and timely advice to support the province in the future.
