The Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee requested that units and localities further strengthen election propaganda work through diverse, visual, and easy-to-understand forms, ensuring widespread dissemination to every residential area.

Quang Tri province is urging units and localities to step up information and propaganda work to serve the election, ensuring that the election takes place in accordance with regulations, safely, and truly becomes a festival for all citizens.

According to Quang Tri Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Phuong, propaganda efforts must be continuous, synchronized, and without overlap or omission of tasks; ensuring absolute adherence to procedures and legal basis in every stage of election organization, especially in early voting areas; thereby contributing to raising voter awareness and creating unity and consensus in society.

In localities, propaganda work is given attention and guidance by Party committees, authorities, and the Fatherland Front Committees, and is widely implemented through various forms to create consensus among the people, such as: through the local broadcasting system; posting information and documents on the commune's electronic portal and the websites of agencies and organizations; disseminating information on social media and digital platforms; integrating propaganda content into meetings, Party branch activities, and mass organization activities; and at the same time focusing on visual propaganda using banners, slogans, billboards, and posters at agency headquarters, residential areas, and main roads.

Following the guidance of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on information and propaganda work for the election, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Tri province has issued plans and official documents guiding localities and units to focus on disseminating information about the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and deputies to the People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term, in conjunction with the 80th anniversary of the first general election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Tri province, in coordination with the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, provides guidance on the content of propaganda for press agencies and mass media at monthly press briefings; and also guides departments, agencies, units and localities in developing plans and organizing propaganda work in accordance with actual conditions.

The propaganda content focuses on clarifying the meaning and importance of the election; the rights and obligations of citizens; the criteria for representatives; and the timelines and procedures for the election as stipulated by law.

However, in some localities of Quang Tri province, propaganda work has not been given due attention; visual forms of propaganda such as billboards, posters, banners, and slogans are limited and have not created a widespread atmosphere leading up to the election day.

In addition, some localities have not fully developed proactive plans before, during, and after the election regarding disease prevention and control, natural disasters, and ensuring security and order, potentially affecting the progress and quality of the election organization.

The Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee requested that in the coming period, units and localities should continue to strengthen the overall review of the progress and quality of election preparations; further promote information and propaganda work through various rich, visual, and easy-to-understand forms, ensuring widespread dissemination to every residential area.

According to a report from the Quang Tri Provincial Election Committee, to date, 77 out of 78 communes and wards have issued decisions to establish election committees for commune-level People's Council representatives in accordance with regulations (except for Con Co Special Zone, which did not establish an election committee because it did not hold elections for People's Council representatives).

Quang Tri province has established 4 election committees in 4 constituencies for the 16th National Assembly elections; 20 election committees in 20 constituencies for the Provincial People's Council elections for the 2026-2031 term; and 497 election committees for commune-level People's Council elections.

In addition, after consultation with the Standing Committee of the People's Council and the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at the same level, the People's Committee at the commune level decided to establish an election team in each polling area to carry out the election work; to date, 1,512 election teams have been established throughout the province.

The consultation process was carried out seriously, ensuring democracy and proper procedures, selecting a list of qualified candidates for the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
