Hon La Seaport is a key project of the province in the period of 2005-2010 with total invested capital in the first phase of about VND150 billion and according to the plan it was estimated to complete in October 2007. In the past time, however, because of effect of changeable weather, natural disaster, especially the Storm No.5, the project implementation schedule has been slow. According to the report of the executive units, by the late December 2007, four works would basically be completed and put into operation before Tet holiday (2008).

Chairman Phan Lam Phuong praised the efforts of the executive units in overcoming difficulties to promote the project implementation schedule. He proposed investor and provincial functioned agencies to create favorable conditions, timely reimburse the source of capital and supply electricity for the executive units. Weekly, Department of Transportation need to hand over to the next shift with the executive units to timely deal with difficulties and promote the schedule.
