In the past time, investment promotion in Quang Binh has seen a lot of big changes, contributing to the provincial socio-economic development. Up to now, 45 investment projects have been registered in Quang Binh province, of which 16 projects have been being asked for approval to deploy building projects, 29 approved projects has been being prepared for investment procedures. Of which, many big corporations and enterprises have registered investment projects, namely: Viet Nam Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (VINASHIN) with the project for building Hon La Seaport (phase II) with its total capital of VND 1,000 billion; Chi Thanh Company with the Thanh Ha cement project with its capacity of 2 million tonnes per year and building specialized seaport with its source of capital of over VND 4,000 billion; Viet Nam Electricity Corporation with the Hon La thermo-electric project with its capacity of 1,200 MW; the projects for resort areas, ecotourism areas in Bang hot Spring; Golf court, so on.

Known that in order to achieve that results Quang Binh province has actively carried out the Program for investment environmental improvement, promulgation of incentive policies to investors. Concretely, time for issuing investment registration license has been cut down two days; registration and seal making for enterprises have been solved timely; tax code registration has only been carried out within six days. Otherwise, the province has also appointed many delegation to work with the corporations and companies in Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh city and other localities to push up the progress of implementing the project and calling for investment. After the successful trip for investment promotion to Japan, 10 Japanese corporations and enterprises have signed memorandum of understanding to promote investment cooperation in Quang Binh. In November 2007, the province has been preparing for sending a mission to Korea for investment promotion to continuously introduce potentials and strengths of Quang Binh province as well as lure investment.
