In 2007, the Decentralized Programme for Rural Poverty Reduction achieved good results and deployed comprehensively four components in 48 communes under the Programme with total reimbursement capital of VND 51 billion (equaling 73% of its plan).

The Decentralized Programme for Rural Poverty Reduction carried out 228 models of cultivation, fruit trees and fresh vegetable. The fruit trees, which bring more profitable output and high effectiveness, were carried out broadly. The project management Board supplied 35 cross-bred bulls and 34 reproductive cows; provided 40,000 vaccines for the prevention and against epidemic diseases for cattle and poultries in the whole province. Education and health establishments were upgraded and built newly. Work of healthcare and intellectual improvement for the people has been more and more paid attention. The Project also held training courses for nearly 13,000 participants, encouraging them in application of technical and scientific advances in production, animal husbandry and aquaculture in order to improve the plant productivity and the effectiveness of work.

Development orientation in 2008 is to continuously strengthen the inspection and supervision of the invested projects, ensuring its long-term effectiveness and bringing the practical interest for the people. In the next time, the Project will deploy to plant more 700 ha of forestry, of which 300 ha planted in sand land and 400 ha in hilly land; focus on promotion and development of production and construction of infrastructures in rural areas, etc.
