The final round of the 9th Quang Binh Young Informatics Contest 2008 jointly organized by the Province Group, Departments of Science and Technology, Education and Training and Information and Communications, Quang Binh Television and Radio, and Quang Binh Telecommunications was taken place from July 14 to July 17 2008.

Attending the Contest were forty-three participants gathered from districts of Le Thuy, Quang Ninh, Dong Hoi and Bo Trach, government and party bloc's youth union and provincial children house; of which 21 contestants were primary, 13 were secondary and 9 were high school; 3 of 43 contestants registered to attend in creative software under the primary bloc. The Contest was an opportunity for the pupils to exchange, share experience and have good conditions to develop information technology.

As a result, the Organization Board awarded prizes to 18 contestants and 1 collective, of which three first prizes were given to three blocs, three second prizes to three blocs and three third prizes to three blocs, seven consolation prizes to three blocs and two consolation prizes for creative software. The government and party bloc's youth union won the first prize for entire group.

Base on result of the 9th Quang Binh Young Informatics Contest 2008, the Organization Board will select a high-quality team to attend in the 14th National Young Informatics Contest in Da Nang in the coming time.
