Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to discuss Hon La seaport management project for first phase

(Quang Binh Website) - On July 31 morning, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to discuss the project for management and exploitation of the Hon La seaport for the first phase and deploy investment project for the second phase. Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Lam Phuong presided over the meeting.

Attending the meeting were Permanent Vice-chairperson of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Thi Bich Lua and related departments and branches in the whole province.

According the report of the Management Board, the Hon La seaport for the first phase has the total capital of VND162,703 million with the total area under construction of 94,026m2. The project is divided into four packages. So far, most of four packages have basically been completed; the last works are urgently being executed to complete the project as scheduled, striving to be capable of receiving ships on August 15.

The meeting spent much time to discuss the project for management and exploitation of the Hon La seaport for the first phase and deploy investment project for the second phase. Most of related departments and branches agreed the Hon La seaport for the first phase should be put into operation before completing the procedures to hand over the investor. Once operational, the Hon La seaport for the first phase is a basis for the investors to continuously carry out investment for the second phase…

Delivering the closing speech, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee asked the Management Board and executive units to mobilize forces and means to accelerate the speed of implementation and complete the plan as scheduled. Besides, the Management Board in coordination with businesses and units in the whole province should promote investment to ensure the scheduled plan, check and take over the buildings and call upon the hire of the Seaport according to the regulations. The Provincial People's Committee also asked related departments and units to continuously further the master plan for the Hon La Industrial Zone to approve the master plan; advise the Provincial People's Committee on management and calling investment into the Hon La Seaport Industrial Zone.
