Attending the ceremony were representative of the editorial staffs of Quang Binh Newspaper, leader of the People’s Committee of Minh Hoa district, the Hue Beer Company and many cadres, teachers and pupils in the district.

In the 2007-2008 academic year, through Quang Binh Newspaper, the Hue Beer Company donated VND100 million to grant 200 scholarships to outstanding poor pupils in the whole province. The Managing Board of "Hope" scholarship Fund of Quang Binh Newspaper decided to grant a large number of these scholarships to poor pupils in two mountainous districts of Minh Hoa (70 scholarships) and Tuyen Hoa (80 scholarships).

In Minh Hoa district, the Organization Board granted 28 scholarships worth VND500 thousand to poor pupils in surrounding communes of Quy Dat town. The remaining will be handed over the pupils in Minh Hoa district and Tuyen Hoa district in the latest time. This is the 5th year Quang Binh Newspaper in coordination with the Hue Beer Company held a ceremony to grant scholarships to outstanding poor pupils. Nearly 800 scholarships with the total value of VND410 million have been handed over poor pupils from the 2003-2004 academic year to now.
