Delegation of the Association for Vietnamese residents in Khammuone province (Laos) visits and works at Quang Binh province

(Quang Binh Website) - In the afternoon of August 28 2009, Permanent Vice-chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Huu Hoai received and worked with the delegation of the Association for Vietnamese residents in Khammuone province (Lao People’s Democratic Republic), led by Chairman of the Association Tran Van Tho. Representatives of Quang Binh University, Provincial Study Promotion Society and related departments and branches attended the working session.

Chairman Tran Van Tho pointed out that the main objective of the visit and working is to hand over two pupils to study at Quang Binh University and receive four primary teachers of Quang Binh province to teach at Khammuone province. At the working, two sides also informed each other about the situation of teaching and studying of Vietnamese students in Khammuone province as well as students of Khammuone province in Quang Binh University.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Permanent Vice-chairman Nguyen Huu Hoai acknowledged the contribution and the spirit of solidarity of Vietnamese residents in Khammuone province and asked Quang Binh University to receive and create favorable conditions for students of Khammuone province to study at Quang Binh University; the Department of Foreign Affairs to carry out the procedures for primary teachers of Quang Binh province to teach at Khammuone province.

On this occasion, Chairman Tran Van Tho donated US$600 to the Study Promotion Society of Quang Binh province in order to contribute to encouraging the study spirit of students in the province. He also expressed his thanks to the assistance of Quang Binh province for Vietnamese young generation in Khammuone province to have a chance to study at their motherland.
