At the talk, two sides informed each other of socio-economic situation of each province and evaluated the obtained results of implementing a cooperation agreement signed in 2007 between two provinces of Quang Binh and Khammouan and proposed orientations for cooperation in the period of 2009-2010. In the coming time, two sides will further cooperative relations between the Parties, governments and organizations; increase the effectiveness of economic cooperation between two provinces in investment promotion, trade, tourism, agriculture, forestry and transport...; closely coordinate with related agencies in the fields of health, education, sport and culture; strengthen work of border patrol, national defence and security between two provinces.

Addressing the talk, Secretary Luong Ngoc Binh highly appreciated the obtained results in cooperative relation between Quang Binh and Khammouan in the past time, especially the gained achievements in a cooperation agreement signed in 2007 between two provinces. Secretary Luong Ngoc Binh also expressed his hope that in the forthcoming time, two sides should make efforts to further boost friendly ties to jointly deal with general issues, and take full advantage of available potentials and strengths of each province to cooperate and develop together.

On the same day, two sides signed a cooperation agreement for 2009 in agriculture, forestry, industry and trade, tourism and communication... This will be a important premise for development of each provinces in the coming time as well as contribute to raise the traditional friendly, cooperative relation between Quang Binh and Khammouan in particular, Vietnam and Laos in general to a new height.
