A meeting to discuss the Plan for the organizing big festivals in 2010

(Quang Binh Website) – On the afternoon of July 14, the provincial Steering Committee for the celebration of big festivals held a meeting to discuss the plan for organizing activities to mark 65 years of the Vietnamese People’s Police (19/8/1945 – 19/8/2010) and 5 years of the protection for national security (19/8/2005 – 19/8/2010), 65 years of August Revolution (19/8/1945 - 19/8/2010) and National Day of Socialist Republic of Vietnam (02/9/1945-02/9/2010); 80 years of the founding of the Vietnam National United Front and “Great National Unity” festival (18/11/1930 – 18/11/2010). Permanent Vice-chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee Tran Cong Thuat presided over the meeting.

The 65th anniversary of the Vietnamese People’s Police (19/8/1945 – 19/8/2010) and 5th anniversary of the protection for national security (19/8/2005 - 19/8/2010), the 65th anniversary of August Revolution (19/8/1945-19/8/2010) and National Day of Socialist Republic of Vietnam (02/9/1945-02/9/2010) will be held on August 16, 2010 and September 02, 2010 at the provincial Center for Culture and Information. At the anniversary of the People’s Police, the Department of Public Security of Quang Binh province will honorably receive Third-Grade War Medal awarded by the President.

Discuss the plan for organizing big festivals in 2010

The 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam National United Front and “Great National Unity” festival (November 18th 1930 – November 18th, 2010) includes activities such as: musical performance, sport and paying a visit to the disadvantaged families and martyrs/injured soldiers’ families… (November 11th to 16th, 2010); organizing a “Great National Unity” festival in residential area (November 01st to 10th, 2010); celebrating 15 years of the implementation of Campaign “The whole people unite to build cultural life in residential area” and 10 years of the implementation of Campaign “Day for poor people” (July, 2010); holding a meeting to praise typical model in the patriotic emulation movement (2006-2010) and a meeting to mark the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam National United Front and “Great National Unity” festival (November 17th, 2010).

Addressing the meeting, Mr Tran Cong Thuat asked that all levels, sectors and localities should organize the celebrations practically, solemnly and economically and launch the ebullient emulation movements to implement the success of political task, socio-economic development and consolidation of national defence and security.
