200 scholarships awarded to poor pupils in Quang Binh
(Quang Binh Website) – On January 6, the Quang Binh Association for Study Encouragement and the Quang Binh Posts and Telecommunications granted 200 scholarships named “VNPT for Vietnamese Talents” to poor but outstanding pupils in Quang Binh.
The scholarships, worth VND500000 each, were granted to 200 pupils who with good academic records and coming from poor families struck by two fierce floods last October. This donation was raised from cadres and civil-servants of the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications to help pupils in Quang Binh flood areas overcome difficulties and step forward in their study.
Under the plan, after granting scholarships to pupils in Bo Trach and Quang Ninh districts and Dong Hoi city, the Quang Binh Association for Study Encouragement will continue award scholarships to pupils in four remaining districts of Quang Binh to encourage them in their study.
