Also present at the meeting were representatives of Departments of Industry and Trade, Planning - Investment and Finance; Office of the provincial People's Committee, Quang Binh Electricity Company and REII Project Management Board.

According to the report of the RE II project management board, the project's first phase has been completed and put into use for 30/30 communes in five districts of Le Thuy, Quang Binh, Quang Trach, Bo Trach and Tuyen Hoa.

The RE II project's second phase is expected to rehabilitate, upgrade and newly build the rural low voltage network for 30 communes in 5 districts of Quang Trach (11 communes), Tuyen Hoa (03 communes), Quang Ninh (03 communes), Bo Trach (06 communes) and Le Thuy (06 communes) for the duration from 2009 to 2013.

At present, the project has reimbursed 93,130 million VND (equivalent to USD4.5million) and is expected to reimburse VND 4,300 million by the end of 2012, achieving 100% of the assigned capital plan.

At the meeting, delegates spent much time to discuss and deal with difficulties in project implementation process such as selecting the capable contractors, using capital source and allocating corresponding capital...

Speaking at the meeting, PPC Chairman highly appreciated the efficiency of RE II project in improving the quality of electricity supply, contributing to eliminating hunger and reducing poverty and promoting socio-economic development of the province.

"Relevant departments and branches should closely coordinate and take advantage of all resources to accelerate the project implementation progress", said Chairman.
