Donate USD10,000 to Quang Trach district to recover storm-hit schools

At the working session, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Hungary to Vietnam informed of the implementation progress of the domestic water supply project of Quang Trach district using mixed credit capital of the Hungarian government and discuss cooperation in education and training in the forthcoming time.
It is known that the domestic water supply project of Quang Trach district has a total investment of EUR22,931.694 (equivalently VND642,087 million), of which total investment for first phase is estimated at nearly EUR12,609,984. With a capacity of 22,000 m3 a day, the project will supply domestic water for 130,572 persons and 29,840 households in 22 communes along Gianh River of Quang Trach district after being completed and put into use. Through the provincial Women’s Union, the Ambassador expressed her hope that the Union would propagandize value of water to raise awareness of locals in effectively using source of water, especially communes benefited from the project.
In addition, Ambassador Torda Eszter also shared difficulties that Quang Binh province is coping with heavy consequences of the storms and flooding. She said that the Hungarian Industrial Association, Maltesse Charitable Organization and Hungarian Embassy in Ha Noi would donate USD10,000 to Quang Trach to restore schools affected by the storms and floods, helping students quickly resume their study.
On behalf of the Party and people of Quang Binh province, Vice Chairman Tran Tien Dung thanked Hungarian government in general, Hungarian Embassy in Ha Noi in particular for assistance to Quang Binh people. He pledged to create all conditions for the domestic water supply project of Quang Trach district to carry out as scheduled plan and ensure the quality of the project.
