Working with KfW Entwicklungsbank on progress of Phong Nha - Ke Bang Region Project

(Quang Binh Website) - The provincial People’s Committee on October 29 had a working session with a mission of KfW Entwicklungsbank, led by Ms Andrea Johnston, head of delegation, head of Division of Nature Resource and Climate Change to discuss implementation of the follow-up mission of the Nature Conservation and Sustainable Natural Resource Management in Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park Region.

The goal of this working visit is to learn about the implementation progress of the Phong Nha - Ke Bang Region Project to report to the German Government, Ms Andrea Johnston said

At the working session, she highly appreciated results that the project obtained in the past time and expressed her hope that the provincial People’s Committee would continue to have coordination with the organizations in implementing the Nature Conservation and Sustainable Natural Resource Management in Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park Region.
Speaking at the working session, Mr Tran Van Tuan, head of the Project Steering Committee expressed his pleasures to the working visit of the KfW mission and affirmed the importance of the project to ecotourism development and enhancement of awareness and livelihoods for locals in buffer zone, contributing to biodiversity conservation of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park.

The provincial People’s Committee will focus on directing relevant departments and create all conditions for the projects to develop effectively, Vice Chairman Tuan stressed.

In addition, head of the Project Steering Committee hoped that KfW Entwicklungsbank and the German Government would continue providing a financial support to help the project complete the implementation progress as scheduled plan.
