Quang Binh, IUCN discuss dossier appraisal for 2nd recognition of PNKB National Park as a world's natural heritage site

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Office of the Provincial People's Committee, Management Board of PNKB National Park, and GIZ Component - PNKB Region Project.
At the meeting, PPC Vice Chairman Tran Van Tuan shared information on dossier implementation progress for the recognition of PNKB National Park. Accordingly, PNKB National Park is considered a highlight of Quang Binh tourism with a magnificent cave system and an attractive destination to foreign and domestic tourists.
Vice Chairman Tran Van Tuan hoped that the IUCN's delegation would create favorable conditions to help PNKB National Park meet with the criteria for 2nd recognition of PNKB National Park as a world natural heritage site.
As scheduled, the IUCN's delegation will work at Quang Binh from August 12-16. The delegation will focus on studying and considering the criteria on the ecology and biological diversity of PNKB National Park, and collecting information from the natives.
