Receiving Consul General was Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Tien Dung; representatives of the Provincial People's Committee Secretariat, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Quang Binh University.

At the reception, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee informed of some socio-economic results the province obtained in the past time and reaffirmed traditional relation and cooperation between Vietnam and Laos, Quang Binh province and Khammouane and Savanakhet provinces. In the forthcoming time, Vice Chairman expressed his hope that two sides will better tighten friendly solidarity and create favorable conditions to develop together.

On behalf of the delegation, Consul General of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic in Da Nang thanked for warm reception of the Provincial People's Committee and provided some information on the results of the 10th Congress of Lao People's Revolutionary Party as well as socio-economic development situation of Laos in the past time.

He hoped that leaders of Quang Binh province will continue creating conditions for Consul General of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic in Da Nang to fulfill tasks in the coming time; upholding good tradition and strengthening friendly cooperative relation between Vietnam and Laos.

On the occasion of Lunar New Year, Consul General of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic in Da Nang wishes the Party Committee, authority and people of Quang Binh a Happy New Year.
