Attending the launching ceremony, there were Mr. Hoang Trung Hai, Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee; Mr. Vuong Duy Bien, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sport and Tourism; Mr. Hoang Dang Quang, Secretary of the Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Tran Cong Thuat, Deputy Secretary of the Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Huu Hoai, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee together with related departments and branches and others.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee thanked leaders and people of Hanoi capital together with ministries and central agencies for their assistances to Quang Binh province in the past time, especially their great contributions to sustainable tourism development of Quang Binh province.

He said "Quang Binh in the heart of Hanoi" programme takes place with a series of cultural activities, aiming to introduce and popularise its traditions, history, and culture as a sacred land with talented and heroic people. It will also broadcast more images of Quang Binh as well as Viet Nam abroad.

Representative of the Hanoi City People's Committee said "In the past years, Quang Binh province and Hanoi city have strived together for socio-economic development with a focus on tourism investment and development, assistance in poverty alleviation.

He stressed that the programme is an opportunity for Hanoians to learn about natural resources, history, culture, land and people of Quang Binh. This is also chance for the two sides' enterprises to meet and exchange new tourism products, sign contracts to lure tourists to Quang Binh and Hanoi, draw more investments from Hanoi enterprises to exploit potential and strengths of Quang Binh tourism.

At the event, the public will have the opportunity to watch many videos to popularise Quang Binh tourism, talk with Mr. Ho An Phong, Director of the Quang Binh Department of Tourism; Mr. Howard Limbert, leader of the British Cave Association expedition team; the runner-up of Miss Universe Vietnam 2008, Duong Truong Thien Ly who successfully conquered Son Doong Cave in 2016 and representative of the production team of the film Kong: Skull Island, which was partly shot in Quang Binh.

The launching ceremony of "Quang Binh in the heart of Hanoi" is the starting event in a series of "Quang Binh in the heart of Hanoi" programme which is taken place from March 25-27 with many special activities, aiming to popularise culture and traditions of a sacred land with talented and heroic people as well as introduce potential and strengths of Quang Binh tourism to Hanoians and domestic and foreign visitors.
Earlier, leaders of the two localities visited a photo exhibition, Quang Binh – Most Attractive Destination in Asia (voted by the New York Time) at the walking street in Hoan Kiem Lake.
