Jetstar officially begins selling tickets on Quang Binh - Chiang Mai international route

(Quang Binh Portal) - Low-cost carrier Jetstar Pacific on July 20 officially sold air tickets for the new international air route between Quang Binh province and Chiang Mai of Thailand, meeting the travel demand and increased tourism growth, according to information from the Department of Tourism.

Accordingly, the first flight on the route is scheduled to take off on August 11 with two flights per week on Mondays and Fridays. Jetstar will use its 180-seat Airbus A320 for the service with total flying time of around one hour and 45 minutes.

Tickets are officially sold on the Jetstar's website at address: www.jetstar.com and at official ticket offices and agencies nationwide on July 20 at 11:00.

On the occasion of the launch of the new international route, Jestart Pacific offered promotional air fares at only 410,000 VND per leg, along with other promotions.

The opening of Quang Binh - Chiang air route marks the implementation of socio-economic development program in 2017, aiming to attract international tourists from Thailand market, expand market and increase number of international foreigners in order to resume and develop tourism - service sector of the province, contributing to implementing the Resolution of the 16th Quang Binh Provincial Party's Committee Congress, bringing tourism to be a spearhead economic sector.

The new international route of Quang Binh and Chiang Mai is also part of a tourism promotion cooperation programme between Jetstar and Quang Binh Province to stimulate tourism growth in Viet Nam and Thailand and their economic links.

The new route is hoped to help tourists access more cheap-price air services and save time for discovering famous tourisms sites between Quang Binh and Chiang Mai in particular, Viet Nam and Thailand in general.

With the move, Jetstar becomes the first airline of Viet Nam to launch a route connecting Viet Nam’s famous tourism destination to Thailand’s northern economic and tourism centre.
