The voting for the seven natural wonders of the world has been launched by the NewOpenWorld from 2007 to 2010 via the Internet. The first round will finish on December 31 2008. Then, the voting will continue to go forward to the next stage to select 21 top wonders to vote for seven natural wonders. In the autumn 2010, the New7Wonders of Nature will be officially declared. Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park is one of three nominees of Vietnam to be listed in the voting. At present, Phong Nha - Ke Bang ranks the 9th in the list.

After this mobilization ceremony, Department of Education and Training will launch voting for Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park as a natural wonder of the world in all cadres, teachers, pupils and students in the whole sector. This is an opportunity to spread the images of motherland and people of Quang Binh, especially the World Natural Heritage, Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park to foreign and domestic friends, contributing to promoting propagation and popularization of tourism potentials, investment attraction and improving the awareness of preservation and promotion of the Heritage's values.
