Dong Hoi City: fishery production value reaches VND158 billion
(Quang Binh Portal) – In the six beginning months of 2015, total production of fishing caught and aquaculture reached 6,000 tons, of which production of fishing caught reached 5,724 tons, production of aquaculture reached more than 300 tons, grew by 7.8% from the similar period last year, equal to 58.44% of the plan. Fishery production value was estimated to reach VND158 billion.
Dong Hoi fishermen went out to sea to catch fisheries
Implementing Decree No.67/2014/ND-CP of the Government on a number of fisheries development policies, Dong Hoi City has newly built and upgraded 9 boats, of which there are 2 service boats and 1 iron-covered fishing boat; 5 wooden-covered fishing boats and 1 upgraded boat with a capacity from 400 CV to 810 CV each boat.
From the source of capital of the national target program on supporting and catching fisheries, Dong Hoi City has also disbursed VND8.8 billion VND to support fishermen buy oil, boat insurrance, crew insurrance and modern means of communication, helping them cling the sea.
