Number of tourists to the city was estimated to reach nearly 1.1 million, an increase of more than 29% from the same period of 2016.

Turnover from hotels, restaurants and tourism services reached VND 775 billion, rose by nearly 18% against the similar period of 2016...

In order to achieve those results, from the beginning year, Dong Hoi city has made the efforts to implement many solutions to develop tourism and services such as promoting tourism potentials of the city in particular and Quang Binh province in general.

Some cultural and sport activities included the 2017 national beach volleyball tournament at Nhat Le beach; the national costume of Miss Grand International 2017, RFC Vietnam tournament, etc.

Besides, the city has successfully organised the Dong Hoi Tourism - Cultural Week, making good impressions on visitors; focused on dealing with difficulties for tourism business enterprises; accelerating the progress of investment and putting into operation of many luxury hotels and restaurants, meeting the demands of tourists.

With the targets to bring Dong Hoi to become a sea tourism center with high quality and a tourism city, in the upcoming time, Dong Hoi city will continue promoting tourism potentials on the media, attracting more visitors.

In addition, the city will actively mobilize all resources for investment in tourism infrastructure; pay attention to training human resources; open new services and tourism products, meeting the increasing demands for visitors.
