Overview of the forum

The forum aims to build a network of providing information on business, trade, investment and tourism between the provinces of Nakhon Phanom, Nakon Nakhon and Mukdahan (Kingdom of Thailand) and the Mekong sub-region countries and the South China in cooperation relation with the nine provinces of three countries and the East West Corridor, including the provinces of Khammouane, Savannakhet (Laos); Nam Ninh (China) and Nghe An, Quang Binh (Vietnam).

Of which, specific target is to build an information supply center, issues and solutions for information exchanges; establish a network of business partners, investment and tourism with ASEAN countries and China; support expansion of border trade between Sanuk's members and other neighboring countries; build a connection on trade and investment between the Northeast Thailand and Mekong sub-region countries

At the forum, the sides briefly informed socio-economic situation as well as strength of each locality.

Being a member of the Association of nine provinces from Vietnam - Laos and Thailand using Road No.8 and No.12 with many advantages of natural conditions, tourism and trade, in the past time, Quang Binh has taken advantage of opportunities; actively strengthened foreign activities, investment promotion, trade and cooperation with the provinces in the Association in all fields of education - training, culture, sport, tourism and transport.

Besides, Quang Binh has actively attended exchange activities, especially the opening of international flights between Dong Hoi and Chiang Mai in order to popularise tourism infrastructure and destinations of Quang Binh to Thailand tourists; encouraged international travel enterprises of Quang Binh in strengthening cooperation with tourism enterprises between the nine provinces of three countries.

Also at the forum, Quang Binh hoped that the investors and enterprises in the association as well as the provinces from the Kingdom of Thailand, Laos, and China would together exchange, cooperate and link contract agreements in details in all fields, aiming to promote potential and strengths of the countries.

On this occasion, Quang Binh's delegation paid visits to some tourist destinations of Thailand such as Indigo trade village, Ban Don Khoi, Sakon Nakhon province, Mukdahan's Indochina market; Phrathat Phanom temple in Nakhon Phanom province, etc.
