Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Le Hong Vinh hold talks Israeli Ambassador to Vietnam

Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial People’s Committee Le Hong Vinh received and held talks with a delegation from the Embassy of Israel in Vietnam led by Yaron Mayer, Ambassador of Israel to Vietnam, during the Ambassador’s working visit to Quang Tri Province.

Overview of the reception

At the meeting, Chairman Le Hong Vinh provided an overview of Quang Tri’s socio-economic development, as well as the province’s potential, strengths, and development orientation following the recent administrative reorganization. Benefiting from its strategic location, an increasingly modern transport infrastructure system, and significant potential in tourism, renewable energy, logistics, border-gate economic development, and high-tech agriculture, Quang Tri is actively attracting investment and expanding international cooperation to promote sustainable development.

Commending the positive development of Vietnam - Israel relations in recent years, the provincial leader acknowledged the practical support provided by the Embassy of Israel to Quang Tri, particularly in disaster recovery efforts and cooperation in renewable energy and agriculture. He expressed his hope that the Embassy would continue to facilitate connections between Israeli enterprises and investors and Quang Tri Province, encouraging them to explore cooperation and investment opportunities in the locality.

The Chairman also proposed strengthening bilateral cooperation in areas where Israel possesses considerable expertise and Quang Tri has growing demand, including science and technology transfer, high-tech agriculture, efficient water-resource management and environmental protection, high-tech aquaculture, renewable energy, innovation, trade, tourism, human resource development, and labor cooperation,etc.

For his part, Ambassador Yaron Mayer thanked the provincial authorities for their warm hospitality and highly appreciated Quang Tri’s development potential and advantages. He noted that Quang Tri and Israel share several similarities in terms of natural conditions, climate, and soil characteristics, providing a favorable foundation for enhanced cooperation, particularly in high-tech agriculture.

The Ambassador highlighted Israel’s extensive experience in water management, utilization, and conservation, expressing his willingness to share expertise and transfer technology to Quang Tri in this field. He also reaffirmed his commitment to promoting connections between Israeli businesses and organizations and Quang Tri Province, thereby expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest such as high-tech agriculture, innovation, investment, and human resource development. Ambassador Mayer further noted that despite Israel’s remarkable achievements, the country continues to face various challenges. Therefore, strengthening exchanges of experience and mutual learning remains essential for both sides.

Delegates attend the reception

As part of the working visit to Quang Tri, the Israeli Embassy delegation conducted a field survey at the Northwest Dong Hoi Industrial Park, visited the MD2 pineapple cultivation model operated by Vitad Company in Cam Lo District, paid tribute at Truong Son National Martyrs Cemetery, and toured several of the province’s prominent historical sites, including Hien Luong Bridge, Vinh Moc Tunnels, and the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel.
