Peaceful life on the Truong Son mountain range
The majestic Truong Son mountain range running through the three provinces of Quang Binh, Quang Tri and Thua Thien Hue is home to many ethnic groups of the Bru - Van Kieu group such as: Bru, Van Kieu, Ma Coong, Tri, Khua...
Under the canopy of the immense green forest, where the mountains are covered with clouds and mist all year round, the ethnic people live close to nature and preserve many unique customs and beliefs.
Along the forests, rivers and streams, the people live in small stilt houses of 3 or 4 rooms, forming a vil (village). All community activities are managed by a leader called xuat vil (village chief or village elder).
When the village has important occasions such as festivals or events, the village elder will be the highest representative to perform ceremonies with ancestors and gods through traditional rituals.
