Vice-chairman Tran Van Tuan: Quang Ninh district should make better changes in building new rural areas

(Quang Binh Website) - The statement was made by Vice-chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Van Tuan at the working session with Quang Ninh district about the implementation situation of the national target programme on building new rural areas on September 28. Attending the working session were representatives of Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development, Planning and Investment, Construction, Resource and Environment, Office of the Provincial People's Committee and the programme coordination office.

Implementing the national target programme on building new rural areas, Quang Ninh district has established the programme steering board with 35 members and selected four pilot communes of Vinh Ninh, Luong Ninh, Vo ninh and Xuan Ninh to develop a new rural life; speed up work of propaganda and directed related agencies to deal with difficulties in the process of implementation; accelerated the progress of mapping out the planning and projects for building new rural areas; organized training courses to improve the capacity for commune cadres, etc.

Addressing the working session, Vice-chairman recorded obtained results of Quang Ninh district and asked it to make better changes in building new rural areas.

In the last months of 2011, the district should organize training courses on developing new rural areas for key cadres from district to commune level; ensure the progress and quality in planning new rural areas; comprehensively implement the national target programme on building new rural areas, Vice-chairman added.

Vice-chairman Tran Van Tuan also ordered leaders of Quang Ninh district to directly work with communes to deal with difficulties and mobilize all resources for building new rural areas to promote socio-economic development, contributing to fulfilling the plan to build new rural areas in the 2011-2015 period.
