According to the report of the Management Board of Economic Zone, the project has a total investment of VND855.815 billion with the duration for implementation of 2011-2013.

In 2011, the project started construction of two contract packages, of which the package 1 is from km16+900 to km24+586 and the package 2 is the 330m stretch of dyke connecting Hon Co Island with Hon La Island. In 2012, the package 3 from km0 to km11+30 is started construction and reaches over 26% of workload.

After his inspection tour, Vice chairman Tran Van Tuan had a working session with the Management Board of Economic Zone and relevant agencies and localities. At the session, Vice Chairman asked investor and contracts to absolutely ensure safety in the progress of implementing the project, recheck technical solutions and keep a close watch on implementation of workload and the quality of project.

On the same day, Vice Chairman also paid a visit to inspect and direct work of site clearance in the roads along Hon La Economic Zone.
