Start to newly build two 260-TEU container ships
In the morning of February 12, in Quang Binh province, the Quang Binh Shipbuilding Industry Company and the Nam Trieu Shipbuilding Company started to newly build two 260-TEU (Twenty-foot Equivalent Units) container ships with total investment capital of over VND 300 billion.
Each ship is 4,820 tonnes in weight with its exploited speed of 12.5 sea mile per hour.
This is the first time the Quang Binh Shipbuilding Industry Company has newly built this type of ship.
The Company is now carrying out the project to expand the plant with total investment capital of VND 480 billion to have enough capacity to build over 100,000-tonne ships for future.
