Quang Binh held burial ceremony of remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers in Ba Doc martyrs' cemetery
(Quang Binh Website) - In the morning of May 8 2008, Quang Binh province held burial ceremony of remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts repatriated from Laos, at Ba Doc martyrs’ cemetery. Attending the ceremony were provincial leaders and representatives of related departments and branches.
Knowing that Quang Binh province on May 6 received 61 sets of remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers, who died in Laos, for reburial in Cha Lo International Border Gate. Only 26 sets of the remains were identified.
The remains were found and reburied by the Team No.589 under the Quang Binh provincial Military Command’s search teams in the 2007-08 dry season. This is the 29th time Quang Binh received the remains of Vietnamese soldiers who perished in the neighbouring country as from 1989 to now.
