A meeting to deploy the implementation of Resolution of the Provincial People's Council on socio-economic development and state budget in 2009

(Quang Binh Website) - On January 06 2009, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to deploy the implementation of Resolution of the Provincial People's Council on socio-economic development and state budget in 2009. Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Lam Phuong presided over the meeting.

Attending the meeting were representative of the Standing Party Committee, the Standing People's Council and People's Committee, leader of departments and branches at provincial level, districts, city and enterprises in the province.

Giving a opening speech at the meeting, Chairman Phan Lam Phuong stressed that in 2009, the socio-economic situation has continuously met many difficulties and challenges, so it needs the efforts of all levels and branches, enterprises and people in the whole province, striving to complete the targets of the socio-economic development plan which was adopted in Resolution No.104/2008/NQ-HDND, dated December 11 2008 by the 14th session of the 15th Provincial People's Council.

At the meeting, the Provincial People's Committee proposed the action plan to implement the Resolution of the Provincial People's Council on the socio-economic development task and state budget estimate for 2009, of which focusing on speed up the mobilization of all resources to expand and develop production and business of economic sectors; improving management effectiveness of the economy and state budget; continuously curbing inflation and preventing economic recession; increasing the quality of the master plan and strongly improving investment and business environment; developing human resources; strengthening disciplines and rules; developing agriculture and rural areas, improving the people's living standards; accelerating the implementation of socialization policy in the cultural and social fields; enforcing anti-corruption, thrift practice and combating wastefulness; consolidating national defence and security, social safety and order...

At the meeting, delegates listened to the report of the Department of Planning and Investment on some solutions to mobilize and make full use of all resources for the socio-economic development in 2009; the report of the Department of Finance on guiding some provisions on the implementation of the state budget estimate for 2009; the report of the Department of Labor, Wounded Soldier and Social Affairs on main solutions to implement the program on poverty reduction and job creation in 2009... The meeting also spent much time to listen to the ideals and discussions of departments and branches, localities and enterprises in order to implement the success of targets of the socio-economic development plan in 2009.

Delivering a closing speech, Chairman Phan Lam Phuong praised the ideals and contributions of all delegates to the implementation of the provincial socio-economic development tasks in 2009. Chairman Phuong asked all levels, branches and localities to comprehensively implement the socio-economic development tasks, curb economic recession and ensure social security; mobilize all resources to develop the economy; strengthen activities in investment promotion and supplement the preferential policies to attract investment; well implement poverty alleviation movement, further vocational training and solving jobs for the labors; strengthen work of inspection and market management; promote administrative reform, ensure social safety and order... He also asked all departments and branches, unions and localities to set up the plan and deploy the implementation in each units and locality, contributing to implementing the success of the socio-economic development task in 2009.
