The 21st session of the 15th Provincial People’s Council opened

(Quang Binh Website) - On July 7th morning, the 21st session of the 15th Provincial People’s Council was formally opened at the hall of the Provincial People's Committee. Mr. Luong Ngoc Binh, Secretary of the Provincial Party’s Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council and members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People’s Council presided over the session.

The session was attended by leaders of the Party, Government and Fatherland Front; representatives of provincial level departments and branches, districts and city together with delegates of the 15th Provincial People's Council.

Giving an speech at the opening ceremony, Secretary Luong Ngoc Binh stressed that the 21st session is a mid year session to comprehensively evaluate the implementation of tasks for socio-economic development, national defence and security, and law enforcement in the first 6 months of 2010; analyse objective and subjective causes; focus on discussing and deciding tasks and solutions to complete the set targets and tasks for 2010. Comrade Luong Ngoc Binh asked delegates of the People's Council need to raise their roles and responsibility; promote democracy and concentrate intelligence to make great contributions to the session. Besides, he suggested the Provincial People's Committee, departments and branches, localities and units should give prominence to their responsibility, actively coordinate and find effective solutions to consider and solve timely the arising issues.

In the first working day, the Provincial People's Council listened and discussed about 12 reports and statements about the implementation of targets and tasks in the first six months of 2010 and draft resolution of the session.
