Provincial People's Committee: convene to hear the 3rd report on adjusting the general planning for construction of Dong Hoi city until 2025 and vision to 2035

(Quang Binh Website) - The provincial People's Committee held a meeting to hear the 3rd report on adjusting the general planning for construction of Dong Hoi city until 2025 and vision to 2035. Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huu Hoai presided over the meeting. Attending the meeting was Vice-chairmen and leaders of concerned agencies and localities.

At the meeting, representative of Nikken Sekkei consultative unit briefly presented the general planning on adjusting the construction of Dong Hoi city and its surroundings until 2025 and vision to 2035. According to the planning, the scale of construction for Dong Hoi city has the total area of about 20,066 hectares, in which Dong Hoi city has an area of 15,571 hectares and the surroundings include Luong Ninh commune (562 hectares), Quan Hau (326 hectares), Vinh Ninh (1,185 hectares) and Nhan Trach (245 hectares).

The planning for comprehensive urban development of Dong Hoi city includes land use, transportation, technical infrastructure, flood control project and environmental protection towards building a Dong Hoi tourist city to develop in a sustainable way.

After hearing the report, representative of concerned agencies and localities had discussed and made many great contributions to complete the general planning for construction of Dong Hoi city and its surroundings.

Addressing the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highlighted that the planning for construction of Dong Hoi city would contribute to manage urban development in effective way, quickly bringing Dong Hoi city to become a civilized and modern city in a sustainable development.

Chairman highly appreciated the efforts made by consultative unit and ordered it to collect ideas to adjust and supplement the planning in accordance with conditions and actual state of the city.
