The release of the animals is result of the project to protect the rare wild animals of Primates Reintegration Project, under the Zoologische Gesellschaft Frankfurt, and the Management Board of Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park.

Trachypithecus hatinhensis, a precious and rare primate, is on the endangered list of Red Book of the International Nature Preservation Union. These animals live in groups from two to fifteen or even up to 30 and they were found in rocky mountains in the western part of Quang Binh Province.

These are the two first Trachypithecus hatinhensis born and raised in farms to be released to to the natural environment. They were also attached with electronic chips to help staff of the centre to know the situation of the animals in the natural environment.
