Quang Binh to host the 2012 Vietnam - Laos - Thailand international trade fair

(Quang Binh Website) - In the evening of June 15, at the stadium square of Dong Hoi city, the 2012 Vietnam - Laos - Thailand international trade fair was opened. The event was attended by Mr. Do Xuan Ha, General Director of Industrial Promotion Agency, Ministry of Industry and Trade; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Quang, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Tran Tien Dung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Board of the 2012 Quang Binh Tourism Month.

Delegates cut ribbons to open the international fair

The 2012 Vietnam - Laos - Thailand international trade fair is in the framework of the Quang Binh Tourism Month in response to the National Tourism Year 2012 of North Central Coast Region in Hue.

The fair gathered 380 booths from 268 foreign and domestic enterprises. Of which, 19 booths from three provinces of Laos (Khammoune, Savannakhet and Bolykhamsay); 21 booths from three provinces of Thailand (Sakon Nakhon, Mukdahan, and Bung Kan) and 340 booths from domestic enterprises.

The event would be a good opportunity for domestic and foreign enterprises to showcase their products and seek opportunities for business co-operation, market expansion and promotion of trade integration between provinces along the East West Economic Corridor, Vice Chairman Tran Tien Dung said.

Vice Chairman Tran Tien Dung, Head of the Organizing Board of the 2012 Quang Binh Tourism Month stressed that the event had a great significance to domestic enterprises in general and Quang Binh in particular in displaying their products in order to promote production and business activities.

The event would also offer the province the chance to introduce its potential for cave tourism; Vice Chairman expressed his hope that the event would also be an opportunity to tighten solidarity, friendship and cooperation between Quang Binh and provinces of Laos and Thailand.
