''Return to Truong Son'' bicycle race ends the 4th stage from Ha Tinh to Quang Binh

(Quang Binh Website) - The "Return to Truong Son – 2012" Cycling Tournament, held jointly by the People’s Army Newspaper, the Vietnam Motor-Bicycle Sports Federation and the Vietnam Trade and Industry Bank in commemoration of the 65th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27) arrived in Dong Hoi City on July 18, ending the 150km fourth stage from Ha Tinh City to Dong Hoi City.

The "Return to Truong Son – 2012" Cycling Tournament is taken place from 15 to 20 July, 2012 with the participation of 11 domestic strongest teams and an international CNN team, beginning at Hoan Kiem Lake in Hanoi, running through Thanh Hoa, Ha Tinh and Quang Binh provinces and the Truong Son Martyrs’ Cemetery, and finishing at the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel.

The race aims to educate young people about the heroic tradition of their ancestors, who sacrificed their lives for national independence and freedom in the past resistance wars.

Finishing the 4th cycling stage, the organizing board awarded prizes to five excellent cyclists from Eximbank Ho Chi Minh City, Domesco Pharmacy Dong Thap and An Giang Plant Protection.

On this occasion, the organizing board also presented 20 gifts to policy families to pay tribute to heroic martyrs, war invalids and local beneficiaries.

Today, July 19, 2012, the cyclists will take part in the 90km fifth stage from Dong Hoi - Le Thuy (Quang Binh) - Truong Son Martyrs’ Cemetery and finish the 50km race around the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel on July 20.
